Tablets have become quite the popular device that most people wish they have. But more than the adults, it’s the kids that also would want to have them, considering them as toys. But unfortunately, most tablets are really designed with the adults in mind. But that is about to change as even Toys “R” Us is announcing that it is coming up with its own Tabeo Tablet for kids.
Toys “R” Us has announced that it is coming up with its own kid’s tablet that it will be calling as Tabeo. It will be a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen tablet that comes with a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor and runs on an Android 4.0 OS. It also comes with a 1GB RAM, 4GB flash memory. It is built to be WiFi ready and comes with the usual tablet features such as speaker, camera, microphone and a G-sensor.
And just like any device for kids, the Tabeo comes with parental controls to block out content that is not fit for kids when they surf the Web. The tablet also comes pre-loaded with 50 educational apps, games and books for kids to enjoy and with additional goodies available at the Tabeo App Store. To make the Tabeo kid safe, it comes with a protective bumper for those occasional bumps and low drops. The Tabeo is expected to arrive in Toys “R” Us stores in the last week of October. It is expected to retail at US$150.
