Some toy airplanes are not that fancy enough for some kids. What they really love is something that flies. It gives them the means to control and become the pilot, even if it is just maneuvering the plane by remote control. But flying toy airplanes can be too complicated for some kids. Some of them are even has parts that are too sensitive for a kid’s hands. If it were a paper airplane, then it is good. But kids can now take it a step higher, flying paper airplanes with the new PowerUp 3.0.
The PowerUp 3.0 Smartphone Controlled Paper Airplanes are unique in its class. Actually, this toy is just a motor with propeller and a Bluetooth receiver that you can attach to a paper airplane. What it does is provide power to paper airplanes to make them fly and control them remotely using an iPhone. You make a paper airplane and then clip the PowerUp 3.0. Then pair up your iPhone or iPad that comes with the accompanying PowerUp 3.0 app with the toy using Bluetooth technology. You will then be able to control the paper airplane with different maneuvers.
The PowerUp 3.0 app comes with an interface that features an artificial horizon to give kids how the paper airplane is flying. A magnetic compass provides direction along with other indicators and controls to make the paper airplane fly smoothly. In maneuvering the plane, put throttle to full before launching the plane into the air. Move the smartphone from left to right to steer the plane. Increase or decrease the throttle control to let the paper plane go up or down. One full charge is good enough for up to 10 minutes worth of flying time. The Bluetooth connection is good for up to a 180-feet or 55-meter distance. The PowerUp 3.0 is designed for kids from 14 years old and above. It is currently available for pre-order at PowerUp for $50. The toys will start shipping on June of this year.
