Kids love to do art. But sometimes the usual methods seem to bore them easily. Other kids would love to try other ways to express their creativity. Doing some 3D art may be something your kids would love to try doing. The 3Doodler Start can be a good tool for the kids to start doing some 3D printing.
The 3Doodler Start is a 3D printing pen that is designed specifically for kids. Although 3D printing pens like the original 3Doodler has been around for a couple of years now, they were not kid-friendly. They need to produce high heat in order melt the 3D plastic filaments in order to create 3D art. In the case of the 3Doodler Start, the heat may no longer be a problem.
The new 3Doodler Start still operates like the original 3Doodler but with hardly any heat needed to melt the plastic filament for creating 3D art. Made for kids from eight to thirteen years old, the 3Doodler Start comes as a handy gadget with just a single button. Pressing it once will start the plastic 3D printing filament to extrude from the device nozzle. Pressing it again will stop the flow. A double click will reverse the flow. That is as simple to operate as ever, easy for kids to remember and master.
Yes, the 3Doodler Start still uses some heat to melt the plastic filament, needing 30 to 40 seconds to warm up before filament extrusion. But none of the external parts of this 3D printing pen is hot to the touch, making it safer even for the kids to use. The 3Doodler Start comes with a built-in rechargeable battery that is good for up to 45 minutes of use on a full charge. Kids can also plug it into a USB port for continuous use regardless of the battery charge remaining. The 3Doodler Start is currently available for pre-order at the 3Doodler website for $40 for the pen and two packs of filament. It is expected to be available sometime in May.
